Having the Right Tools

Having the right tools will allow you to get the project done quick and right. Their are many advancements in tools and many companies that carry them.

Definition of Tool: utensils, machinery, instruments, mechanisms, weapons, engine.

Depending on what type of work you are doing the tools necessary for the proper completion can be purchased at a number of stores. Many stores specialize in certain tools, which on average are higher quality, but the price is higher.

Some of the more common tools that are being used on farms today are the conveyor belt: moving the crop from one place to another(Ex. a truck to a barn for storage), spray equipment: applying the insecticide to the crops for disease and insect control, mulching equipment: transferring wood into mulch, (saving money), feed and grain dispensers, chain saws: cutting products(Ex wood branches to be mulched), mowers: keep grass cut( no insect or disease), tillage equipment: rotate soil, bring nutrient to the crops roots, grain dryers: dry crops in order to make them into usable products(Ex. wheat to flour), tractors, dump trucks: transport materials(Ex. crops, excess parts), planters: plant the crop, combines: harvest the crop, and trailers: transport materials and equipment.

These are some of the more advanced equipment used on large areas, if you have just a small garden much of this equipment would be to big and just a waste of money. the same care has to be taken for your crops, but in a minimized way. Some examples: to walk the product to storage instead of a conveyor belt, to dig with a shovel not a planter, use a rake on the soil rather than using tillage equipment.
