Some of the more common tools that are being used on farms today are the conveyor belt: moving the crop from one place to another(Ex. a truck to a barn for storage), spray equipment: applying the insecticide to the crops for disease and insect control, mulching equipment: transferring wood into mulch, (saving money), feed and grain dispensers, chain saws: cutting products(Ex wood branches to be mulched), mowers: keep grass cut( no insect or disease), tillage equipment: rotate soil, bring nutrient to the crops roots, grain dryers: dry crops in order to make them into usable products(Ex. wheat to flour), tractors, dump trucks: transport materials(Ex. crops, excess parts), planters: plant the crop, combines: harvest the crop, and trailers: transport materials and equipment. These are some of the more advanced equipment used on large areas, if you have just a small garden much of this equipment would be to big and just a waste of money. the same care has to be taken for your crops, but in a minimized way. Some examples: to walk the product to storage instead of a conveyor belt, to dig with a shovel not a planter, use a rake on the soil rather than using tillage equipment.
